Twack’s Life Of Pi

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to Twack’s life of ‘Pi’. One line in and already you’re wondering what on earth this is going to be about. Well, here’s what it’s not. It’s not an article about the mysterious mathematical number that begins as 3.141592653589793 and goes on for a very long time.

It’s not even the ‘magic’ number though I might be able to find a tenuous link to disprove that statement and here’s why. Well, actually let me first tell you why I’ve bought this to your attention. Sometimes I struggle and get lost in all that ‘twack ‘ is and can be. ‘True that’, as they say. Even now, when someone asks me what it’s about I have to order my thoughts. Not an easy task at the best of times.

Something From Nothing

===>CLICK HERE TO LEARN ALL ABOUT TWACK<===

There’s the first aspect, right above in H3. Something from nothing is exactly how ‘twack’ came about. The premise that we can all come up with an idea, out of nothing, run with it and create whatever. I mean, that’s how things start, isn’t it ? You’re sat there and it just pops into your head. Voila, a unique thought, it doesn’t have to be unique. I mean you might wake up one morning and decide you’re going to be a baker. Kudos. Easy as that. If you’d like to have a better, more long-winded explanation then feel free to click on the link above, just remember to come back afterwards.

So Why Am I Telling You About Pi

Good question. As well as making something out of nothing, ‘twack’ is all about ‘Paying it Forward’ You are all aware of that, I’m sure but if you need a recap then you can find it just below.

===>CLICK HERE TO LEARN ABOUT TWACKS IDEA OF PAYING IT FORWARD<===

Enough of the internal links. Let’s get on track. I would be remiss if I came across something that I thought was a good idea and didn’t at least give you the opportunity to have a look at it and then decide for yourself. I remember listening to a Jim Rohn CD, some years ago. He was saying how he would tell his friends about the opportunity he was working on and give them the chance to at least come to an informal meeting about the company. His ‘tagline’ if you like, or caveat, was that he didn’t want them coming to him in a few years time, when he was successful and saying that they never had the ‘invite’. Smart man.

So, that’s what I’m doing. Passing on something that resonates with me and ‘twack’s’ ethos. It might never amount to anything, I have no crystal ball but I like what I have read and the possibilities could be far-reaching, especially being able to get in somewhere, relatively near the start.

What Is ‘Pi’

‘Pi’ is a Crytocurrency. Now, before you turn off, switch off, pack away your reading glasses and do one, just bear with me for a while longer. I know, well knew, nothing about cryptocurrencies. All I knew was Bitcoin and how over the last eighteen months it has been in the news for reaching ‘highs’ in its value. Currently it’s worth somewhere in the region of just over $8k per coin. Now, it’s worth mentioning that in true twack fashion, Bitcoin started out as being worthless, it had no value. In fact, it’s value during its first year was zero and the highest it went to the following year was $0.39. Such an auspicious start.

Just the words introducing the Pi network

How Is ‘Pi’ Created

See, this is the bit where most of us just take it for granted. OK, well like every other Cryptocurrency, it has to be ‘mined’. Only a certain amount can be mined in a certain amount of time. To do the mining, you have to have software and hardware that is up to the job. Simples.

As I’m writing this, I’m grinning with the odd chuckle thrown in for good measure, why? That would be because I would and will, really struggle to try to explain exactly how it is created.

Apparently it’s all about ‘block chains’ and they are in very simple terms, a distributed database that everyone has access to. If, you have a copy of this you can add to it. However, once a block has been added to, it can’t be changed. Think of a block as a secure vault with information in. The software does the heavy lifting, making, adding, verifying and securing. As payment for your ‘Proof of Work’ or your computers hard work, you get a piece of ‘Pi’. See what I did there ?

Why Pi Different

I have done my homework but I think I would need to go back to school and have some proper lessons. Some of you might already know the complexities I’m trying, poorly, to explain. Please feel free to enlighten me. Maybe by the time this gets published I will have a better handle on things. A few things make ‘Pi’ different. So we know that to earn ‘Pi’ we have to ‘mine’. Up until now you would need a computer and one that was pretty powerful. Not sure whether Windows XP would cut it. Not really sure but from what I’ve read, unless you’re just doing it to pay for a night out once a year, then you’re going to have to invest in some decent hardware. Then you have to make sure it’s running and staying cool 24/7.

computer hardware

A few things make ‘Pi’ different. So we know that to earn ‘Pi’ we have to ‘mine’. Up until now you would need a computer and one that was pretty powerful. Not sure whether Windows XP would cut it. Not really sure but from what I’ve read, unless you’re just doing it to pay for a night out once a year, then you’re going to have to invest in some decent hardware. Then you have to make sure it’s running and staying cool 24/7.

Not anymore. Now this is where ‘Pi’ comes into its own. Now you can do the ‘mining’ on your phone. Download an ‘App’ and away you go. Just an ‘App’ and no battery drain. I mean, of course it will use a fraction, all Apps do but not what you would consider obscene, in a way that you have to keep charging your phone. Don’t laugh but I have an iPhone 5s and I still only put it on charge once every twenty-four hours, as per normal.

The other ‘quality’ piece of information is that this is unlike the majority of ‘cryptocurrencies.’ This one has been designed so that everyone has the chance to be part of it. Let me just put a piece of their wording below, it might help, I’m rubbish at this.

“As the world becomes increasingly digital, cryptocurrency is a next natural step in the evolution of money. Pi is the first digital currency for everyday people, representing a mjor step forward in the adoption of cryptocurrency worldwide.

Our mission: Build a cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform secured and operated by everyday people.

Our vision: Build the world’s most inclusive perr-to-peer marketplace, fueled by Pi, the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency.

DISCLAIMER for more advanced readers: Because Pi’s mission is to be inclusive as possible, we’re going to take this opportunity to introduce our blockchain newbies to the rabbit hole :)”

Does that help ? I think they explain what I was trying to say far more succinctly than I ever could. Everyone gets a piece of the ‘Pi’ pie. Before we move on, it’s worth mentioning at this juncture (love that word) two things, it was one and then another one popped up, happens that way.

Pi is very, very ‘twack’ is it not ? I mean, when I first came across it, I was reading through the pages on the website and I just knew that I was getting on board. This is designed so that…no, let me rephrase. The way this whole thang has been set up is so that people like you and me are the ones who benefit. I’m sure if I thought about it long enough I could come up with some profound summing up but as yet, it’s not coming to me. It just feels right, it’s a good fit for all of us and we can all access it, not just a select few who have the means to take advantage due to their own economies of scale, or something like that…. Not a bad attempt.

Is that two things ?

Whoops ! I Forgot To Mention Something

A few salient details for you. Before I get into that. Listen, I forgot to mention, it’s free.

You heard me, FREE.

If, you think Pi Logoabout it, the transaction has already taken place. Quid Pro Quo. We’ll get all esoteric if I have to try to explain again. You ‘mine’, you get ‘Pi’ that’s the deal. Nothing else. Like ourselves, it’s all-inclusive. You just download the App for your particular type of phone, set it up, which is easy and you’re done.

As part of the ethos, in regard to building a network that is based on trust and security, you need to be ‘invited’. Now that doesn’t mean you have to sit back and wait for someone to ask you if you’d like to join, it just means that you’ll need to have an invitation code, which is usually another persons’ user name or ‘Invitation code’. I was sent a link through one of my Facebook friends. As soon as I’d done my own due diligence I was in. Then I just told my family about it and said they had to join or I’d stop washing and ironing their clothes.

So, some links would be useful, no doubt. I fully expect you to go to the website and have a good look around, in fact I highly recommend it, it will make much more sense than my attempt. Just follow the link above or search ‘Pi Network.’ If you decide to join up straight away, remember to use the code ‘twack’.

If, you want to just do it now and download the App on your phone, then you can do so with these links. Android first and then. after the next paragraph, the iOS one.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blockchainvault

That’s it, pretty much. Like I said at the beginning, I just wanted to share this. Whether you do or don’t is entirely up to you. One thing I have been trying to get across when I’m talking to people about it, is the timing. I was lucky enough to have the ‘invite’ sent through to me at just the right time fo rme to follow through. Another time, I might just have ignored it.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pi-network/id1445472541

How often do we come across an opportunity right at the start. Not very often in my life, that’s for sure. I think ‘Pi’ will always be around and to be involved at the start is amazing. I’ve joined various platforms over the years and I look at other members who have been involved for a long time, seeing how much they’ve achieved and I wish I’d found it sooner.

Well, this time I have and now you have too. Enjoy.

Always happy to hear your thoughts, ideas or questions. Please just leave them below.

  1. Pi seems like a good offer, really lucrative and its profitable. The thing that caught my attention the most was the price of a coin now is just over $8k per coin, wow, that’s a lot of money. Crypto currency is a really nice idea if the appropriate guide is known in the dealing. Thank you for dropping those links, they’ll be helpful. I’m looking forward my own mining. Thanks for sharing this informative article.

    1. You’re very welcome and thank you for your reply. It’s worth remembering that ‘Bitcoin’ has the current 8k value, imagine if you’d been in at the start of that one. ‘Pi’ is just beginning and it’s free to ‘mine’, who knows where it will be in a few years time, that’s the exciting part. 2. hey there Twack:),

Thanks and Thanks again for this amazing opportunity. I have always been scared of cryptocurrencies and with each new “high” or “crash” news, i feel like I am missing out. reading this helped me understand more on not just “Pi” but also on cryptocurrency as a whole.

I would do more research on pi.

    Awesome Post.

    1. You and me both being scared. When I used to look at cryptocurrencies I just felt bewildered. Now, after some research and reading through the ‘Pi’ site, it all makes a lot more sense. I like that Pi is designed so that we all get the chance to be part of it.

  3. I’ve always found cryptocurrencies quite confusing as not fully sure how they really work. When Bitcoin came out, my husband jumped on the bandwagon but nothing much transpired. Even his explanation of how it works didn’t really sink in!

In a world that’s ever changing and evolving so quickly, cryptocurrencies will probably be around for a while as going digital is the way forward. I’ll pass your article to him, maybe he’ll find some joy in this new currency seeing as it’s free!

    Thanks for the post

    Teresa

    1. Hi Teresa, thank you for taking the time to comment. I, like you, never really understood how crytocurrencies worked. It took me a few read throughs of different articles to fully understand how it all works. Now that I do, I can appreciate what an awesome opportunity ‘Pi’ is. Unlike Bitcoin, everyone has a chance to get involved right at the start and, like you said, it’s free. I do like free.

  4. Nice and informative article. I haven’t tried PI but could give it a try in the future. I started some years ago to mine bitcoin and etherneum but I have only one 10xant rack and a couple of smartphones mining. Smartphones just as a tests but mining with the phone seems to work pretty well. Still, I think blockchains future is not cryptocurrencies, it may be using blockchains for more trustable and faster banking, insurance and infrastructures than nowadays. However, thank for sharing this

    1. Thank you for dropping by and reading the post. You’ve made a really good point about the diversification of ‘Blockchains’. ‘Pi’ have introduced ‘Smart Contracts’ to their system which will give added security and allows for much wider ranging scope in applications. An openly accessible ‘data ledger’ can have many uses, that’s for sure.

  5. Yh  world is evolving and cryptocurrency is gaining grounds by the day I’m not surprised. I am just getting to start up my own bitcoin account under the supervision of a program designed for people who are new in the business to gain better understanding before they are left of their own. Now looking at Pi and the chances in it, its really cool but I still don’t know how to mine yet, is there a demo account where I can learn it when I get the app?

    1. Hello and thank you for popping in. Great that you’re getting involved with cryptocurrencies, I think they will be a huge part of our future. The beauty of ‘Pi’ is that you can just download the ‘App’ and start ‘mining’ straight away. As the system is still in the infancy, there is no ‘trading’ as such, you just mine and start accumulating ‘Pi’. Two massive bonuses are that it’s free and you can do it on your phone. There’s loads of very easy to understand information on the site. You can get started here https://minepi.com/twack

  6. I must say that I really enjoyed reading your post on Pi. Actually, it is the first time I’m hearing about the platform but it sounds pretty good to me and mining is not a hard thing to do but I used to thInk it was not real, especially when it came to crypto currency. I’d like to give Pi a try though, so I’ll be downloading the app. Thank you for sharing your indepth information on the platform. Cheers!

    1. A big thank you for your comment, much appreciated. Yes, crytocurrencies are very real and here to stay, that’s for sure. I feel very lucky to have come across ‘Pi’ at the start, rather than hearing about it in a few years. There are links to the ‘App’ in the post or you can go straight to the site and download from there.

  7. Hey there,

I am interested in cryptocurrencies and blockchain, and therefore I am interested in your proposal as well. If your cryptocurrency is based on Blockchain texchnology, then security is inherrent and fraud should be out of the question.

I do have some questions though, regarding mostly your proposal. How do you differentiate from other cryptocurrencies?  Is Pi linked to some organisation or activity? How do you plan to use the coins earned throught the mining process? An where is the wallet to store the coins?

    Good luck in your endeavour!

    Marios

    1. Hi Marios, thank you for taking the time to read my post, greatly appreciated. You’re absolutley right in regard to the security aspect. I had to read up on ‘Blockchains’ and how they worked, fascinating yet very simple. At the moment the ‘Pi Network’ is in its’ infancy. It’s not linked to any organisation, it was created by three Stamford University Graduates. The initial plan is to create a global marketplace where the ‘coins’ can be used, so as yet they have no monetary value, that will happen over time. Whichever device you use to ‘mine’ will act as your digital wallet. You can get the full explanation here.

  8. Hi,
I’ve tried to understand what the Idea about.

The Introduction was to much for me.  You have to understand that if you want someone to stay in your web.  It’s should be very interesting and you are telling me about how the site look a like and you are going to change it and etc… this will not bring me to come again sorry.

The theme is not so attractive.

Sorry, I must be fair enough.

    1. Hi Llana, I really appreciate you taking the time to have a look at my post. Don’t worry, It took me a while and a number of read throughs to fully understand how cryptocurrencies work. Even now I have to go back and refresh, to make sure I’ve got it right. It’s not always easy to grasp some of this ‘digital’ stuff.

As for the site, you’ll have to forgive me, I’m still in the early stages and haven’t had chance to finesse it yet. I’d like to think that you’ll pop back at some point and maybe by then it will be more to your liking. Thanks again for commenting. Be well.

  9. actually, I’m always wary of all these crypto platforms because of the scam tendencies attached to them. Most of them always have something up their sleeves. But I will be trusting your words on this to join Pi. After all, it is free and I would not need to make any sort of payment. Hence, I will give it a trial and hopefully, it would be worth trying. Thanks

    1. Hey there Mattias, thank you for commenting. Unfortunately, the world we live in causes us to be sceptical, especially when it comes to joing something new and online. If you’re like me the first thing you ask yourself is ‘What’s the catch ?’ Well, I couldn’t find one. It’s free and quite happily puddles along in the background on your phone. All the time the app is running, you’re accumulating ‘Pi’ I just couldn’t see a downside. Enjoy.

  10. Twack, I think this is way advanced. I have mined bitcoins and it was a whole lot of work. Wait, did I get it clearly or did you just say that we just need to download the app and keep the phone running? I have read about pi just now and I can say that this is the richest article I have read in a month. Like you say, let me pay it forward.

    1. Hi Brendah, good of you to drop in. Thank you for your kind words. You’re absolutely right. Download the app. set yourself up, which is really easy and it just runs in the background. You can also add more people to your network which means you ‘mine’ at a higher rate. It”s all free, which is amazing.

  11. Interesting post. So far I only heard about Bitcoin. Is Pi also a Cryptocurrency? I didn’t understand, your registration is free,  but how do you get an invitation? And after you register, is it still free? Can it just be on the phone? I checked the PI site a bit and saw what social media is. It is? A lot of questions, but please keep in mind that this is the first time I have contacted PI through your posting. Thanks for sharing

    1. Hello Carmen, it’s a pleasure to have you comment on my post, truly appreciated. Yes ‘Pi’ is a cryptocurrency in its infancy. You can use my invitation code, which is ‘twack’. Just download the app and when asked for the code you just enter ‘twack’ and you’re in. No charge or fee, before or after registering. You can download the app through their site here. https://minepi.com/twack.Enjoy.

  12. Thank you for introducing me to Pi. I know a little bit about cryptocurrency ,mainly bitcoin and litecoin, but I’ve never heard about this one. It’s pretty cool that it can be mined from a phone as I know that usually crypto mining takes some serious hardware. I’m curious to know more about how the creators intend to utilize it.

    1. Hello and thank you for your comment. ‘Pi’ is pretty new on the scene compared to some of the other cryptocurrencies out there. That was one of things that piqued my interest. Being able to ‘mine’ on your phone wthout having to have it plugged into a charger is, in my opinion, a real game changer. The creators are looking to create a global marketplace where ‘Pi’ can be used. In their words:

Our Vision: Build the world’s most inclusive peer-to-peer marketplace, fueled by Pi, the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency.

You can read all about it and their plans on the website https://minepi.com If you feel like giving it a whirl just use my invitation code when asked, after downloading the app.

  13. Loved the article. Despite feeling it be a little back and forth, I did find it easy to read. Enjoy the truly conversational style.

Yeah, a single Bitcoin now being valued at 8k makes you really wanna kick yourself for not investing in it when it was essentially worth nothing. That is, if you were aware of it, of course. If not, obviously you couldn’t know.

Still, in that sense, to me, ‘Pi’ sounds like that kind of chance, the second one in one’s awareness, an amazing opportunity essentially. Plus, it literally asks for zero investment (besides some battery power, which my phone I feel has plenty of).

    Thank you for sharing this.

    Cheers, and see you around!

    Matiss

    1. Thank Matiss, for your comment, loved it. You share my own view that, in essence, this is chance to be in at the start of what will, hopefully be a huge success. Being able to ‘mine’ on your phone is a monumental plus. Like I said in the post, I’ve been using my old iPhone 5s and haven’t needed to change my charging habits. At some point they will be introducing ‘node’ which will enable us to further help the Pi Network by using our PC’s. In their words:

Our Mission: Build a cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform secured and operated by everyday people.

Our Vision: Build the world’s most inclusive peer-to-peer marketplace, fueled by Pi, the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency.

It just really appeals to me. Thanks again.

  14. I mean, I have to completely agree with you. This cryptocurrency thing (‘Pi” including) does sound like creating something from nothing. And a very powerful something given that ‘Pi” may have the same kind of potential that the almost $8000 Bitcoin has.

I really like the philosophy behind it. Furthermore, I just can’t disagree that cryptocurrencies feel like the future. The future in which we might not need to may ridiculous transaction costs (essentially for nothing) to banks.

I have to say though, at this point, I’m not 100% sure how that mining works. It sounds great. But not sure. Will have to have that extensive look around.

But that said, it does remind of the saying: Just because you don’t know exactly how it works, doesn’t mean you can’t benefit from it. I mean, there are a ridiculous amount of people out there that use a car every day, yet don’t have a clue as to how exactly it works. But they benefit from it nonetheless.

It just might be the same thing here.

    Have a Wonderful Day,

    Rasa

    1. Hi there Rasa. Thnak you for your wonderful comment. I’ll be honest, it took me a fair few attempts to understand the concept of ‘mining’. In the end I had to watch a couple of videos, just to get it straight in my head. I’ve tried to explain as best I can in the post but it may require a little extra-curricular reading. I liked the simplicity of it and the ethos behind whole set up. The ‘Bitcoin’ ship might have sailed for the most of us but this, I think is an opportunity to get onboard at ground level.

It’s free, easy to download and set up, just like any other app on your phone. Plus it doesn’t drain your battery. Did I mention it was free ?
